Designed to be bold and encouraging, Echo strived to motivate the people of Anderson to join in conversation about what makes their hometown a place of timelessness, diversity, and culture.
Studio 329's Echo aimed to collect and convey unseen experiences from Anderson, South Carolina, through a pop-up interactive exhibition in December of 2023. Echo strived to show the community who exists in Anderson, motivated by the statement: "The neglect of narrative has left the Anderson community separated, resulting in an incomplete view of reality and further marginalization."
It focused on answering the question: "How might we create a space that confronts false narratives, through the conversation of genuine narratives?"
I had the opportunity of leading Studio 329's Connections Team, which went out to start conversations about Echo and collect narratives from the community, asking Andersonians to join in understanding who contains all of Anderson County and setting up the exhibition, ensuring that each story was showcased purposefully. I also worked with Studio 329's Production Team, helping them build, design, and create posters, story cards, exhibition signage, story boxes, and other collateral.
